PRESIDENT HAS VISIT FROM PM XANANA GUSMAO

Jakarta 29/4/2008 (Kominfo-Newsroom) – President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the State Palace here Tuesday (29/4) had a visit from Timor Leste Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao, the first since Gusmao was named head of government in Aug. 2007.
Xanana Gusmao and a retinue comprising several ministers arrived at 1010 hours local time and were welcomed by President Yudhoyono and a number of Indonesia Bersatu cabinet.
The two leaders witnessed the signing of a number of MOUs in the sectors of education, trade, industry and businesses.
After lunch, the president and his guest will visit the House Speaker, MPR (Congress) chairman, State Police Chief and TNI Commander in Chief.
PM Xanana Gusmao and party will leave Indonesia on May 2. (T.Tr/toeb/ton)
