If you arrive at Soekarno Hatta International Airport and would continue your land traveling around Jakarta but do not use private car, there ara some options both public transport with many passengers or use personal transport such as taxi or cab.

For public transport like bus you can find at the bus stops available, exactly at arrival and departure terminal outside the airport, meaning it still in the environment of airport, a bus usually does not carry passengers crowdedly. The bus is good enough and the fare is not too expensive.

Citi destination routes such as Pasar Minggu, Blok M, Gambir Station and vice versa you will be charged a fare (starting from 5 May, 2008) Rp.20.000,- or less than $3. For outside city destination routes like Bogor and Cikarang you will be charged fare of Rp.25.000,- and for Serang and Bekasi you will be charged Rp.23.000,- well, still around $3

The busses usually are in operation from dawn to mid night.

You can use taxi, this mode of transport is more private as you can use it without any other passenger onboard. Operation hours of this transport is along the day and night or 24 hours, off course you have pay more expensive fare compared to bus.

Whatever the hours use taxi from airport you need not to worry on something bad would happened to you as long as you use taxi with called Taxi Bandara (Airport Taxi) parked in line at the lot provided. When getting in don’t forget to ask complaint form wich be handed over for each airport taxi service users, usually there is an officer who gives the form though you don’t ask for it. This card serves as a control tool for taxi you use. So here you are assured safe.
